About our group:
The team is responsible for factory automation solution development and implementation in Wuxi, China, supporting manufacturing productivity, quality, safety, and cost improvement through automation technologies.
The team focuses on automation opportunity identification, concept design, equipment integration, project deployment, and continuous improvement across production lines, material handling, packaging, robotics, and smart manufacturing applications.
About the role - you will:
- Identify automation opportunities through shopfloor observation, process analysis, and value stream evaluation.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, material flow, labor utilization, and operational challenges to develop practical automation solutions.
- Support the design of automation concepts for manufacturing, logistics, packaging, testing, and material handling applications.
- Develop process flow diagrams, automation architectures, layout concepts, and system integration strategies.
- Participate in equipment selection and solution evaluation involving robots, machine vision, AGVs/AMRs, conveyors, sensors, and automated workstations.
- Perform automation feasibility studies, productivity analysis, HC saving estimation, and ROI calculations.
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, layout drawings, process flow diagrams, business cases, and project reports.
- Track project schedules, action items, risks, and mitigation plans throughout project execution
About you:
- Passionate about solving manufacturing challenges through automation and engineering innovation.
- Strong analytical and logical-thinking skills with the ability to break down complex manufacturing problems.
- Interested in automation solution design, system integration, and project execution rather than solely equipment programming or maintenance.
- Comfortable communicating ideas through process flows, layouts, and technical presentations.
- Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Your experience includes:
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Intelligent Manufacturing, or related majors.
- Experience in automation projects, robotics competitions, manufacturing-related projects, or engineering practice is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of factory automation, robotics, conveyors, sensors, barcode scanners, machine vision, AGV/AMR, or PLC systems.
- Able to use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio, or other engineering drawing and flow design tools.
- Fresh graduates or students with strong learning ability and hands-on experience are also acceptable.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production flow, or industrial equipment is a plus.
