Application Process
Qn. What if I forgot my Seagate Careers user name or password?
Ans. Your user name is the email address you used to create your Seagate Careers profile. Note, if you change your email address at a later date, you will still need to use the original email address used to create your original Seagate Careers profile to login. If you've forgotten your password, click view profile within the job search section. From there select the "Forgot your password?" hyperlink. Input the email address tied to your account and check your email (as well as your SPAM / junk folder) for a password reset email. Simply input a new password, reconfirm it and you're good to go!
Qn. Who is the hiring manager?
Ans. The hiring manager's name will be shared with you if you are selected to interview.
Qn. Can I share a job with a friend?
Ans. Yes! Go to the job of interest and look for the Share this Job feature (on desktop this is the top right corner under the job search. Click on the preferred sharing option and share away!
Qn. I see the option to select to receive job notifications. If I select this option, what will I receive?
Ans. If you select this option you will be brought to our job alerts page, where you can create job alerts based on keyword or location. If a job becomes available that meets your criteria, we'll send you an email with a link for you to review the job.
Qn. How do I search for a remote job?
Ans. In the Search by Keyword window type in remote and click search jobs. All remote positions will be listed. Note that the main location at the top of the job description may list another site, however within the job description you can see the other locations such as remote.
Qn. How do I create a Seagate Careers profile?
Ans. Select a job opening of interest and click "Apply." Follow the required steps to create your profile. Note, you must apply to a position in order to create a profile.
Qn. My computer froze while attempting to apply and I am unable to complete my application. What should I do?
Ans. If you have previously applied to a position at Seagate please visit your candidate profile. You can then click the candidate profile and see if the job is appearing under the jobs applied section. If you have not previously applied to a position with us, please start your application again. Upon completion you will receive an message that your application has been received.
After you've submitted your application
Qn. I just applied for a role. What are the next steps and/or what can I expect?
Ans. Thanks for submitting your application! Your application is now off to our recruiting team for review. If there's a match with your skillsets, a member of our recruiting team will be in touch about scheduling an interview. While we try to reach out to every candidate, unfortunately given the volume of applicants, sometimes we're unable to update every candidate about their status. New roles are posted daily, and we hope you'll continue to look for other roles at Seagate.
Qn. I received a notification stating that my application was provided to the hiring manager for review; what can I expect as next steps in the process?
Ans. Your application is off to the hiring manager for review. If there's a match with your skillsets, a member of our recruiting team will be in touch about scheduling an interview.
Qn. What is the start date for this position?
Ans. Start dates vary based on the role. If you're selected to move forward in the recruiting process, ask your recruiter for more information about a potential start date.
Qn. I have applied for a role but would like to withdraw my application. How do I do that?
Ans. Login to your Seagate Careers Profile - click VIEW PROFILE in the top grey banner. Enter your login information. From your Candidate Profile click on the Jobs Applied section. Click on the job you would like to withdraw your application from, then click on the Withdraw Application button.
Qn. Why wasn’t I selected for an interview?
Ans. We're thankful for your interest in Seagate. Our hiring process is highly competitive and while many candidates may meet the minimum requirements, only a select number of candidates are moved forward based on their previous experience.

Job Alerts
Qn. I want to set up a job alert? How do I do so?
Ans. Login to your Seagate Careers Profile - click VIEW PROFILE in the top grey banner. Enter your login information. From your Candidate Profile click on the Options pulldown on the top right of the page (desktop version). Select Job Alerts. Click Create New Job Alert. Enter your search criteria and click Preview Alert to see the current results or click Create Alert. Your job alert has been created. To review your job alert click on Options, Job Alerts.
Qn. How do I stop receiving job alerts?
Ans. Select a job opening of interest and click "Apply." Follow the required steps to create your profile. Note, you must apply to a position in order to create a profile.
