Software Engineering Manager- Seagate Lyve Cloud

Seagate’s always-on edge-to-cloud mass-storage Lyve Cloud is designed to overcome common storage challenges—unpredictable costs and complexity of storing, moving, and activating data at scale. We’re looking for an experienced Group Software Engineering Manager to join our fast growing Seagate Lyve Cloud team.

About the role - you will:


  • Lead the end-to-end development of Lyve Cloud components
  • Managing a group of 6+ engineers
  • Leading the engineering driven backlog of scenarios across the team and partner teams across the globe, working closely with PM lead
  • Be the technical point of contact
  • Be a role model for engineering excellence, driving the team to very high quality capabilities in design, implementation and collaboration
  • Apply a critical view of our infrastructure, technologies and development process, proactively pushing to improve our products and our group

About you:


  • Team player, highly effective collaboration skills cross teams and groups and with executives
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Your experience includes:


  • Software development (Golang, Rust)
  • Leading engineering teams through all phases of the development cycle
  • Leading large development projects and teams in complex environments with multiple interfaces
  • Background in Cloud and/or Storage
  • Working with and fostering cross-geo relationships
  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience



Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

Travel: Up to 10%
