About our group:

The Edge IoT Technical Marketing team consists of specialists in product management, user experience, documentation, and telemetry. Our team is responsible for conceptualizing and guiding new consumer, creative professional, and specialty storage devices from proposal through manufacturing and well into market integration. We collaborate across various functions, including business, development, and validation teams, to deliver a diverse array of data storage products to users.
 
The technical publications team is responsible for creating, managing, and publishing documentation related to our products and services. We play a crucial role in ensuring that customers and partners worldwide have access to accurate and comprehensive information.

About the role - you will:

•    Interview project stakeholders to become familiar with a product and its customers.
•    Author documentation copy and collaborate with designers on illustrations and other images.
•    Manage content reviews from stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
•    Work with web services/creative services on document publication.
•    Submit document revisions to source control.
•    Acquire deep knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Madcap Flare, and web authoring as we establish a standard documentation process.
•    Research the application of AI and SEO in technical authoring and knowledge consumption.

About you:

•    Demonstrated writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, concision, and accuracy.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams with competing deadlines.
•    Accepting of constructive feedback on work and deliverables.

Your experience includes:

•    Coursework in technical writing, electrical engineering, or computer science.
•    Current student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field, and returning to classes in Fall 2026.

 

You may also have:

•    Familiarity with single source/multi-channel authoring apps, such as Madcap Flare or Adobe FrameMaker.
•    Experience with HTML/CSS.
•    Experience with creative applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
•    Video editing experience.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $20 - $29.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.

 

The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
