Storage Solution Sales

About our group:

Japan is one of the Seagate worldwide Sales region, having Sales, Marketing, and Engineering team locally to support Japan customers. You will be working in the Systems Sales group among Japan Sales & Marketing organization, collaborating Singapore and US team. The Storage Solution Sales will work in the development of new Seagate’s Enterprise Data Solution accounts in Japan region. The Sales is required to develop and execute revenue plan for Japan market includes Channel distribution and end user high touch accounts. The job involves co-working with internal Japan Sales and Sales Engineering team to attain planned revenue per quarter. This experienced sales role is expected growing business through their own experience, including previously established relationships; so a successful applicant must have strong industry contacts and a demonstrated success in personally closing business in the Storage solution space. Success involves a long and complex sales cycle and the majority of sales go through channel partners; so strong contacts with related channels are a requirement.

About the role - you will:

•    Drive new business through strong partner and customer contacts and industry knowledge
•    Create and maintain a customer pipeline, hitting revenue goals and growing Japan business
•    Meet committed sales numbers on a quarterly basis
•    Build relationships with Channel partners (VAPs) to grow brand presence
•    Establish executive level relationships, understanding the needs and language of customer's specific business
•    Lead and coordinate complex, team selling efforts (with internal and external partners)

Your experience includes:

•    Must have experience in selling enterprise products through reseller / System integrators, including deep industry knowledge and contacts
•    A successful Sales will be expected to drive business through their own experience, including previously established relationships
•    Must have experience negotiating large transactions and be instrumental in closing deals
•    A knowledge of SAN/Object Storage product lines is desired
•    Bachelors or master’s degree and/or equivalent experience

In response to COVID-19, this position may temporarily begin and be performed remotely. Seagate is actively evaluating the virus and our employees' health and safety are our top priority. In the future, this position will report to and be performed at our Tokyo, Japan location. 
Seagate Japan was established in 1985. Our Tokyo office is located in Shinagawa business district. The office is easily accesible by train via Tennozu Isle, the Shinagawa-station as well as Tokyo (Haneda) airport. The office is conveniently located within walking distance to sports gyms, theatres and many restaurants. Our Tokyo employees range from Materials/Supplier Quality, Customer Engineering to Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and HR.
