About our group:

WWCD (World Wide Cost Desk) team is a single source for leading product cost forecast and facilitating & driving cost reductions across Seagate’s product portfolio. WWCD team processes and supports technology cost that enables product & business decisions.  WWCD enables Seagate to grow revenue share through the execution of optimized product road maps by developing future cost scenarios.  The team is located in multiple countries.  This position is open to either Minnesota or Colorado locations and open to hybrid (3 day in office) or full-time office, not open to remote work.

About the role - you will:

  • Support WWCD (World Wide Cost Desk) team with cost analysis, automation and cost prediction that will aid company road map decision making.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex product cost using Excel, KNIME and AI.
  • You will interact with multiple cross-functional teams to identify inputs for data analysis and analytics.
  • Support long-term strategy and growth of the organization. Be the lead in implementing analytics across the wider org teams.
  • Use predictive analytics to analyze future program costs. 
  • Identify deltas, issues, and work around solutions.
  • Design and manage large analytical projects while ensuring that the data is accurate, translated in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.
  • Use advanced development of analytical tools to automate processes.
  • Responsible for building, maintaining, and testing several complex workflows in KNIME and Alteryx.
  • Experience coding and modifying SQL/ETL/Alteryx based on process requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation of database workflows, requirements, and procedures.

About you:

  • Deep understanding with proven skills in data analytics.
  • Ability to work with multiple cross teams.
  • Ability to work with multiple time zones including international time zones (mainly China and Thailand).
  • Ability to get training and attend evening meetings.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to understand the business processes of an organization and its core application environments.
  • Forward-thinking strategist.
  • Good understanding of KNIME, Alteryx, AI automation.
  • Expert level in Excel (big data analysis, graphs), PowerPoint.

Your experience includes:

  • Must have data analysis and predictive analytics background.
  • Must have strong (expert level) Excel knowledge.
  • Must have AI automation knowledge.
  • Must have knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Strong exposure to business intelligence experience (KNIME).
  • Should have good understanding/exposure or willing to take training in SQL.

Location:

Longmont, CO or Shakopee, MN - Hybrid On-site 3 days a week 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $84,300 - $120,500. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
