Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading operations training and certification activities to ensure workforce competence and compliance, while also overseeing surplus assets and factory waste management. The position supports manufacturing continuity, regulatory requirements, sustainability goals, and cost recovery through structured systems, governance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Operations Training & Certification
- Lead operations training activities, including training needs analysis, planning, delivery oversight, and effectiveness measurement.
- Manage and continuously improve On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) and certification systems to ensure employee competency and compliance.
- Monitor training progress and certification status, and escalate competency gaps to relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with operations and process owners to align training programs with business and regulatory requirements.
Training Effectiveness, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Design and apply training evaluation methods to assess effectiveness and utilisation.
- Prepare and maintain training compliance, effectiveness, and utilisation reports.
- Use data and insights to drive improvements in training content, delivery, and systems.
- Support standardisation and alignment of training policies and practices across sites, where applicable.
Curriculum & Content Development
- Identify, prioritise, and develop training programs in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Design, review, and maintain training materials, including presentations, work instructions, and assessments.
- Maintain accurate training documentation and upload materials to training systems or databases.
Systems Capability
- Maintain and enhance training databases, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and supporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to streamline training processes and workflows.
Stand‑Up Training & Operational Support
- Conduct selected training sessions such as new hire orientation, core operations training, and train‑the‑trainer programs.
- Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross‑functional projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
Surplus Assets & Waste Management
- Oversee factory waste management activities in accordance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage plastic waste recycling streams, including segregation, tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Administer fixed asset scrap management processes, including asset identification, documentation, approvals, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate scrap sales activities such as vendor liaison, quotations, collections, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance, EHS, and Facilities to ensure compliance, traceability, and accurate financial recovery.
- Monitor and report waste, recycling, diversion rates, and scrap sales performance indicators.
