About the role - you will:

  • Own and maintain sputter equipment performance
    • Ensure equipment meets uptime, quality, and OEE targets
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment issues
  • Drive maintenance excellence
    • Develop, execute, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
    • Support reduction of unscheduled downtime through reliability improvements
  • Technical problem solving & improvement
    • Analyze process/equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
    • Implement engineering solutions to improve yield, uptime, and cost performance
  • Support production operations
    • Work closely with production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues
    • Provide technical support during shift operations and critical tool recovery
  • Process and equipment optimization
    • Define and optimize process parameters and control points
    • Support process qualification, engineering trials, and change implementation
  • Documentation and system improvements
    • Develop and update SOPs, PM procedures, and troubleshooting guides
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, cost reduction, automation)
  • Compliance & safety
    • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and audit requirements (e.g., RBA, internal audits)
    • Maintain safe working practices in cleanroom environment
  • Collaboration and knowledge sharing
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and specialists
    • Support structured training and effective knowledge transfer within the team
    • Promote the adoption of AI-driven tools and digital solutions to enhance troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and decision-making
    • Encourage the use of AI for data analysis, pattern recognition, and continuous improvement initiatives

About you:

  • Strong problem-solving capability with a structured approach to root cause analysis 
  • Good data analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills, with exposure or interest in applying AI-driven insights for equipment performance improvement 
  • Familiar with equipment control systems, automation, and standard engineering tools; knowledge or willingness to learn AI/analytics applications is an added advantage 
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and cross-functional engagement skills

Your experience includes:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline 
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering or maintenance within semiconductor, media, or vacuum environment
  • Hands-on exposure (through work, projects, or internships) in vacuum systems, sputter equipment, or thin film processing technologies will be an advantage
