Senior Engineer (Quality Assurance)

About our group:

The Equipment Manufacturing team at Seagate is responsible for the build, assembly, testing, and delivery of advanced manufacturing equipment that supports Seagate’s HDD production and technology development.

We work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure equipment is delivered on time, to specification, and at the highest quality standards, enabling successful factory ramp and product innovation.

About the role - you will:

• Lead quality planning and assurance for new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing operations.
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans).
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Establish and monitor key quality metrics and trends to support data‑driven decision making.
• Ensure robust inspection and validation processes through review of drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Support qualification and validation activities including first article inspection and process capability studies.
• Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, including non‑conformance resolution, supplier quality, and manufacturing quality awareness.

Your experience includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• 5–8 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and quality systems.
• Experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, audits, and customer or supplier quality management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and perform data analysis using tools such as Excel or similar systems

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
