About our group:

 

Our Product Engineering & Failure Analysis team delivers end‑to‑end analytical support for HDD products, covering both Reliability and Quality test failures.

 

We work closely with Design Centers, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and cross‑functional engineering teams to investigate issues, identify root causes, validate technical hypotheses, and drive solutions that enhance product reliability and overall quality.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Perform electrical analysis on HDD failures originating from Reliability and Quality testbeds.
  • Review drive configuration, attributes, test logs, and certification data to identify trends and failure signatures.
  • Conduct duplication/simulation activities and design experiments to confirm failure mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with Design Center, Quality, Supplier, and cross‑functional engineering teams to determine root causes and drive effective corrective actions.

About you:

 

  • Self‑motivated and quick to learn, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical thinker with a structured approach to forming, testing, and validating technical hypotheses.
  • Effective communicator with solid verbal and written skills, able to work efficiently with global teams.
  • Collaborative team player with good stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination skills.
  • Willing to travel to Thailand for 1 month for on-job-training.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Magnetics, or a related field.
  • Experience in HDD manufacturing, quality engineering, or failure analysis is a plus.
  • Strong data‑analysis skills and familiarity with tools such as JMP.
  • Programming proficiency in Python (or C++).
