EDE is a fully integrated equipment development team that designs and builds precision automated assembly equipment and vision inspection machines. Our high-performing team is made up of diverse design talents specializing in mechanical, embedded systems, electrical, software, and vision disciplines. Together, we create solutions that push the boundaries of engineering.

 

We continuously incorporate IIOT, AI, machine learning, image processing, and data analytics into our development efforts. This enables our equipment to achieve smart factory intelligence, paving the way for a high-tech, future-ready manufacturing environment.

About the role - you will:

 

•    Develop control software for precision, high-throughput automated equipment.  
•    Design and develop machine vision and/or deep learning software to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity for precision, high-throughput automated equipment.
•    Design and develop electrical control system with draftsman support on schematic drawings and BOM creation.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design system architectures, and implement software solutions.
•    Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
•    Support and troubleshoot existing automation systems, identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
•    Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in automation software solutions.
•    Perform continuous improvement and enhancement to the existing equipment software toward Smart Autonomous Manufacturing.

About you:

Your experience includes:

 

•    Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or relevant engineering disciplines.
•    Fresh graduates with strong interest and academic results in the field of automation control, software programming, vision-based AI &/or experience in MvTec Halcon toolkits are welcome.
•    Processes strongly in Vision application development, C# and/or C++ OOP and multi-threading PC based software programming for automated equipment control. 
•    Experience in electrical design for machine automation in Class100 cleanroom environment will be very much preferred though not compulsory.
•    Knowledge and/or experience in EtherCAT fieldbus, SolidWorks 3D, machine vision technology, AI Technology or Control Automation will be an added advantage.
•    Experience in data science and AI technology through past projects shall be favorable. 
•    Processes interest in transforming data science prototypes into production-ready solutions with knowledge of Python, Web design, Pytorch library, and/or other machine learning frameworks.
