About our group:
The Contamination Control Department is essential for maintaining cleanroom environments by developing and implementing contamination control protocols, monitoring environmental parameters, conducting audits, and troubleshooting contamination events. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate contamination controls into workflows, conduct training on cleanroom protocols, and evaluate systems for improvements. Their efforts ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, thereby safeguarding the quality and reliability of Seagate products.
About the role - you will:
As a Contamination Control Engineer, you will be responsible to develop, implement and monitor contamination control protocols. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, your primary objective is to ensure compliance with industry standards, optimize cleanroom processes and mitigate particulate and chemical control risk.
- Design and enforce contamination control strategies for facility, process and equipment.
- Conduct trouble shooting and root cause analysis for any contamination events and implement corrective actions
- Monitor cleanroom environmental parameters e.g. air/water quality, surface particulates and personnel practices using particulates and chemical sampling systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SQE, QA, Production, Process) to integrate contamination controls into workflows
- Conduct regular cleanroom audits to validate and maintain critical cleanroom environmental parameters as per ISO14644, etc.
- Conduct training and enforce on cleanroom protocols e.g. proper gowning, hygiene and particulate free techniques
- Evaluate and recommend improvements on filtration, HVAC and material flow systems
- Prepare technical reports and audits for regulatory compliance
About you:
