About the role - you will:

As a Human Resources Intern at Seagate Technology, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of HR functions, including Site HR, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and University Relations, HR Shared Services, Internal Communications, and Global Learning and Development. This internship is designed to provide you with a broad overview of HR operations and a chance to develop foundational skills across multiple HR disciplines. 

  • Site HR: Assist with HR programs, employee engagement initiatives, training facilitation, research projects, general employee communications, compliance efforts, and employee relations. 

  • Total Rewards: Support the Wellbeing Campaign. 

  • Talent Acquisition and University Relations: Gain a high-level understanding of talent acquisition and university relations through an introduction to the TA curriculum. 

  • HR Shared Services: Learn about the HR Shared Services support model and explore research on AI tools to streamline onboarding processes. 

  • Internal Communications: Support the execution of internal events. 

  • Global Learning and Development: Observe the implementation of learning programs and get a brief introduction to Seagate's learning initiatives. 

  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on other duties as assigned, offering flexibility to explore different aspects of HR. 

This internship provides a snapshot of various HR functions, allowing you to familiarize yourself with key areas while building foundational knowledge and skills. 

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic intern who possess a 

  • Strong interest in HR and a desire to learn about various HR functions. 

  • Flair for writing, strong written communication skills and the ability to deliver presentations effectively and confidently. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 

  • Strong teamwork qualities and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 

  • Able to commit to at least a 6-month internship program (Jan to Jun). 

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field. 

  • Good knowledge of Singapore employment labors and the labor market. 

  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations and best practices. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, charting tools, and data analysis). 

  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), Media and Graphics skillsets. 

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. Here at work, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at our onsite canteen and coffee shop. We offer a range of facilities including an in-house gym and dance studio, as well as after-work badminton and table tennis competitions. On-site celebrations and community volunteer opportunities also abound.
