About the role - you will:

As a HR Shared Services Intern role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive Human Resources environment. Working within the HR Shared Services Organization, you will directly contribute to the delivery and continual improvement of HR processes, supporting both business objectives and employee satisfaction across our Singapore operations. This internship is designed for driven individuals seeking to deepen their understanding of HR practices, compliance, and employee lifecycle management, while developing technical and interpersonal skills essential for a successful HR career. 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the HR Shared Service team and regional stakeholders to deliver a seamless, positive employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. Participate in regular team meetings and cross-functional projects, building relationships within and beyond the HR department. 

  • Employee Data Management: Input, verify, and maintain employee records using SAP SuccessFactors and the Ministry of Manpower databases. Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality, and assist in regular data audits to support data integrity and compliance. 

  • Audit & Compliance Support: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, HR compliance testing, and government regulatory inspections. Help document HR processes and gather necessary information to facilitate successful audits and maintain statutory compliance. 

  • Onboarding & Orientation: Support the onboarding of new employees by preparing orientation materials, scheduling training sessions, and facilitating smooth integration for new hires. Gather feedback to enhance the onboarding process. 

  • HR Projects: Participate in global and Asia-wide HR initiatives aimed at streamlining and digitizing HR processes. Contribute ideas and assist with implementation, monitoring progress, and reporting outcomes. 

  • Consultation & Advisory: Provide first-level support to employees and managers on HR documentation, benefits, data management, and transactional queries. Direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR specialists for resolution. 

  • Policy & Legislation Awareness: Develop an understanding of Singapore’s labor legislation, including work pass requirements and employment guidelines. Support the HR team in providing accurate, up-to-date advice to employees and managers. 

  • Document Management: Maintain and organize employee personnel files and employment-related records in both digital and physical formats, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. 

  • Problem-Solving: Handle a variety of HR-related questions and issues, ranging from straightforward queries to more complex challenges, under the guidance of senior HR staff. 

  • Coordination with External Agencies: Liaise with work pass agencies and consult with the Ministry of Manpower on escalated cases and procedural updates as necessary.

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. 

  • Familiarity with HR principles, Singapore labor laws, and HR technology is an advantage. 

  • Prior experience with SAP HRMS or in a shared service environment is preferred but not mandatory. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Word. Exposure to Power Automate is a plus. 

  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and inclusive workplace. 

  • May be required to travel within Singapore sites as needed. 

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work. We offer a range of facilities including an in-house gym and dance studio, as well as after-work badminton and table tennis competitions.
