Job ID:  14461

About our group:

Seagate’s Recording Media Operations (RMO) is a critical part of our vertically integrated global manufacturing network, enabling high-performance storage solutions for data-driven industries. Our operations support advanced media manufacturing technologies in precision-controlled cleanroom environments with high-volume, 24/7 production demands.

Our Facilities organization operates at a scale and technical complexity comparable to leading semiconductor fabs, managing mission-critical infrastructure systems that directly impact yield, product quality, and factory continuity. We play a central role in enabling manufacturing excellence through world-class reliability engineering, infrastructure scalability, and sustainability leadership.

About the role - you will:

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to lead large-scale, high-impact facilities operations across multiple sites, driving innovation in smart facilities, energy optimization, and next-generation manufacturing support.

• Lead the Facilities organization for RMO across multiple Woodlands manufacturing sites, ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of mission-critical infrastructure in a 24/7 high-volume production environment.
• Oversee advanced cleanroom and utility systems at scale, comparable to semiconductor manufacturing environments, including HVAC, UPW, PCW, CDA, vacuum, exhaust/abatement, chilled water plants, and high-availability electrical systems.
• Drive best-in-class system reliability, targeting >99.99% critical utilities uptime, with zero unplanned facility interruptions impacting production.
• Establish and lead a world-class reliability engineering program, incorporating predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, fault detection (FDC), and data-driven decision-making.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Equipment teams to ensure facility systems enable process stability, contamination control, and yield performance.
• Lead rapid incident response and crisis management for facility-related disruptions, ensuring minimal impact to production and accelerated recovery.
• Develop and execute long-term facilities master planning aligned with technology roadmap, capacity ramp, and infrastructure scaling needs.
• Lead large-scale CAPEX programs including brownfield expansions, infrastructure modernization, plant retrofits, and new capacity build-out.
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle including procurement, construction, CQV, and operational readiness, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Ensure full compliance with Singapore regulatory and EHS requirements (MOM, NEA, SCDF), while driving a zero-incident safety culture and operational discipline.
• Drive site-wide energy and sustainability strategy across one of the largest cost structures in manufacturing operations, including chiller optimization, HVAC efficiency, water reuse, and carbon reduction.
• Lead digital transformation of facilities systems, leveraging FMCS, SCADA, advanced analytics, and smart facility technologies.
• Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary organization, including engineering teams, shift operations, and strategic service partners.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships (OEMs, utilities providers, contractors) to ensure performance, reliability, and cost competitiveness.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale facilities operations in high-tech manufacturing environments.
• Deep expertise in cleanroom operations and mission-critical utility systems, with exposure to semiconductor fab or equivalent advanced manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong track record in driving reliability improvements, achieving world-class uptime, and eliminating production-impacting events.
• Demonstrated ability to lead crisis management and recovery in complex 24/7 operations.
• Strong strategic thinking capability, with experience in long-term infrastructure planning and capacity scaling.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional organizations.
• Results-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Your experience includes:

• 15+ years of experience in cleanroom-based or mission-critical manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor fabs, recording media, or advanced electronics).
• 7–10 years of leadership experience managing facilities engineering or operations organizations.
• Strong experience managing large-scale industrial plants with critical utility infrastructure comparable to wafer fabs or high-volume process industries.
• Proven success in leading factory expansions, ramp-ups, and infrastructure capacity scaling.
• Extensive knowledge of cleanroom environmental control, UPW systems, wastewater treatment, electrical redundancy architecture, and process exhaust/abatement systems.
• Experience with advanced facilities monitoring systems (FMCS, SCADA) and digitalization initiatives.
• Demonstrated track record in managing large CAPEX portfolios and delivering complex projects end-to-end.
• Experience in energy optimization, sustainability initiatives, and cost reduction programs in manufacturing environments.
