About our group:

The RMO Material Science Laboratory, part of the Asia Media Development team at Woodlands 1, specializes in wet chemistry and surface analytical techniques. Our lab supports media qualification efforts to enhance yield, quality, and reliability. We also play a key role in HDM tribology, corrosion studies, outgoing media quality, and contamination control—working closely with cross-functional teams in Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Integration, and Manufacturing.

About the role - you will:

  • Operate analytical instruments/tools such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC-MS, TMIC, IC, FTIR, KF Titrator
  • Compile and document analysis results for review by senior staff 
  • Collaborate within a team of 8–10 in a wet lab environment under senior guidance 
  • Provide regular updates and handovers on job status to senior staff and teammates

About you:

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage engineers, technicians, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Are prepared to work in a Lab Environment
  • Willing to work on 12hr (7.30am to 7.45pm) Dayshift pattern

Your experience includes:

  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
