About our group:

Guzik Lab is a department that uses VXI Test System (VTS) and Reduced Foot Print (RFS) as a component level of electrical tester designed to test the electrical efficiency of the magnetic media and head. We will provide Process Feedback and Design Feedback during development/Launch and aid drive development by characterizing distribution and developing transfer function. In additional, we will test Failure Analysis tool (electrical HDD failures only) and screen defects (electrical only) related to magnetic sputtering process.

About the role - you will:

  • Perform magnetic test on hard disk media on VXI Test System  (VTS)  and Reduced Footprint System (RFS).

  • Evaluate and analyze the media performance before publish the data to sputter

  • Monitor the performance with the parametric test through daily production samples

  • Review and analyze the data to ensure data is relevant and accurate

  • Upload all data to the server, review trend charts and monitor head yield

  • Review specifications and review failures

  • Update and study the parametric data trends and report to product engineers

  • Work closely with sputter engineers for any data discrepancies 

  • Work and coordinate with engineers for new heads implementation 

  • Check heads inventory weekly and feedback to engineers

  • Handle tester,  head correlations 

  • Handle gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) customer failure and return internal request from engineer

  • Support new product launches from qualification to release

  • Ensure smooth operation of VXI Test System (VTS) and Reduced Footprint System (RFS) machine by troubleshooting 

  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation

  • Use precision measuring and testing instruments to determine changes in the dimensional requirement parts 

  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments

  • Require to read the error code from the log file and perform troubleshooting on the tester whenever require

  • Any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by immediate superior or management

About you:

  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Engineering related field

  • Permanent Night shift only

  • Able to work overtime when required

Your experience includes:

  • Knowledge in VBA excel
  • 2 years in machine troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
