Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at the Woodlands site is responsible for implementing programs and processes that safeguard the health and safety of all employees while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and corporate standards. The team supports the company’s environmental commitments by integrating safe work practices, risk management, and sustainability principles into daily operations. In carrying out these responsibilities, Woodlands EHS operates in alignment with Seagate’s core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusion, ensuring responsible and compliant operations across the site.
About the role - you will:
- Manage Woodlands Seagate Manufacturing Singapore (SMS) site Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) related matters – EHS KPI scorecards, incident, operational risk, audit, regulatory and emergency response management:
- Organize and administer programs and procedures to ensure compliance with both regulations and site Corporate Standard Operating Procedures (CSOPs).
- Conduct audits on environmental and safety compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Interact within various site departments to continuously integrate EHS within the organization.
- Work with process engineers and senior management to develop site specific pollution reduction metrics.
- Plan, organize and execute emergency evacuation drills for Woodlands 1 (SMS) as Fire Safety Manager.
- Perform periodic review of legal updates from authority and ensure compliances.
- Implement Global Corporate EHS programs and initiatives on site – Chemical, Contractor, PPE, Hazardous Waste Management, Ergonomics, Fire Life Safety and Equipment Safety Management:
- Implement environmental, health and safety programs and policies to ensure full compliance with Singapore environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Working together with other stakeholders to develop proficiency in various safety and health programs.
- Involved in the development, implementation, and management of site EHS training.
- Review new processes and modifications for any EHS impacts.
- Prepare and participate in Regulatory, ISO EHSMS Audit and Corporate Programs.
- Ad hoc duty or task assigned by the EHS Manager.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or Engineering.
- Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Fire Safety Manager (FSM) is a must.
- Able to manage complex projects with multiple vendors and users.
- Team player and/or site lead with good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiar with Gen AI.
- English language proficiency is required, both written and spoken.
- Able to lead/influence people for EHS activities and will be responsible for driving EHS behavior in the sites.
Your experience includes:
- Registered with MOM WSHO and SCDF FSM.
- Preferably with experience in MNC.
- Familiar with ISO14001 and 45001 certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge in RBA & BCMS is an advantage.
