About our group:

The Global Logistics organization is responsible for defining and managing “Stock-to-Deliver” and “Order Management, ATP and Fulfilment” processes globally. This includes overseeing over 120 locations and ensuring seamless operations across all business segments and movement types.

About the role - you will:

The Director of Logistics and Warehouse Operations will lead and manage logistics projects and warehouse operations to ensure best-in-class performance. A key focus of this role is driving the adoption of automation technologies and AI-driven solutions to transform logistics processes and warehouse execution. The Director will leverage advanced technologies, data analytics, and machine learning to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure logistics remains a strategic advantage for the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex logistics and warehouse projects from conception to completion, with a strong focus on automation and AI integration to achieve operational excellence.
  • Design and implement cutting-edge automation solutions for logistics processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to identify operational challenges and deploy AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Utilize data analytics and machine learning models to monitor performance, identify automation opportunities, and implement predictive and prescriptive solutions to optimize logistics operations.
  • Drive strategic initiatives such as Global Warehouse Strategy, VMI Centralization, and Warehouse Automation, ensuring alignment with the organization’s digital transformation goals.
  • Define and document processes, methods, and tools for AI-enabled warehouse execution and logistics operations.
  • Review performance and KPIs with execution teams globally, leveraging AI-powered dashboards to identify trends and set up continuous improvement action plans.
  • Manage operational costs and lead times, maintaining WMS master data and creating SOPs/Business Rules that incorporate automation and AI best practices.
  • Partner with IT to enhance warehouse execution processes, develop automated dashboards, and spearhead the development of AI-driven dynamic management systems for transportation and warehouse management.
  • Enable deferment of product programming at logistic hubs to improve supply chain flexibility and reduce obsolescence, leveraging AI-based decision-making tools.

About you:

  • Strong background in logistics processes, automation technologies, and AI-driven tools, with a focus on warehouse execution and supply chain reliability.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing logistics or supply chain projects, with a track record of implementing automation and AI initiatives that deliver measurable results.
  • Ability to lead and direct project teams, manage resources, and ensure project milestones are met, particularly in technology-driven transformation projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making, including the use of AI and machine learning for predictive analytics.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for facilitating meetings and teamwork, with the ability to articulate the value of automation and AI solutions to stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation, change, and improvement initiatives, with a focus on optimizing cost, security, and supply chain reliability through advanced technologies.

Your experience includes:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in logistics automation, transportation management, and warehouse operations, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (TMS, WMS, etc.) and automation technologies, including robotics, IoT, and AI tools.
  • In-depth understanding of sales, demand planning, and supply planning, with experience in applying AI and machine learning to improve forecasting and planning accuracy.
  • Experience in financial planning and understanding the linkages between demand/supply plans and financial plans, with a focus on AI-enabled optimization.
  • Typically, at least 5-7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a technology-driven change management role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the HDD/Storage industry.
  • Familiarity with scenario planning and forecast methodologies, particularly those enhanced by AI and machine learning.
  • Strong knowledge of AI technologies, including natural language processing, predictive analytics, and machine learning frameworks.
