About our group:

The International Trade Administration Team (ITA) is responsible for operational implementation of, and ensuring adherence to, various international trade compliance programs that support Seagate’s import/export activity. This group is sited in Seagate Woodlands that oversee Trade compliance ensuring that the company complies with Trade facilitations globally and meeting the overall goal of operational excellence. This is made possible with the collaboration with across ITA organization.

About the role - you will:

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual with excellent organizational skills to join our team as a Senior Analyst. This role involves managing resources and analyzing various data sets, including financial data and reports, to identify strengths and weaknesses for both the business and its clients. The incumbent will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry, including potential threats and challenges.

 

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of International Trade Administration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Possessing a strong understanding of SAP products to support key qualifications and improvements for achieving deliverables.
  • Gathering, interpreting, and utilizing complex data to develop actionable steps that enhance processes and optimize results.
  • Managing operational data related to import/export activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing key qualifications to achieve Best-In-Class status, ensuring schedules are met and implementations are timely.
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external organizations to stay informed about impending changes and potential issues.
  • Identifying and exploring projects aimed at achieving product cost goals.
  • Participating in customs certification and audit processes.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the manager.

About you:

  • Degree in Business Administration or relevant disciplines. 
  • Demonstrate independence, resourcefulness, and a collaborative attitude as a team player.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Possess project management expertise.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Singapore’s import and export laws and regulations.

Your experience includes:

  • Possess strong knowledge of Asia Pacific trade compliance.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with government and regulatory agencies on import/export customs matters.
  • Handle negotiations and resolve emergencies related to customs clearance.
