The PDG is the development team responsible for bringing the best-in-class Enterprise and Client classes of HDD and technologies in the likes of Heat Assisted Media Recording (HAMR), Hybrid Shingled Media Recording, etc, to the market. The PE team plays an important role in improving all HDD product metrics and keeping cost and quality on target using cutting edge technologies in advanced recording methodology, innovative HDD test processes and Big Data analytics. About the role - you will:
• Apply knowledge of HDD certification and methodologies to integrate new technologies in disk drive hardware, firmware and factory test process to ensure successful execution in all phases of product development • Develop test process code in support of new product launch • Perform bench level tests and data analysis to understand and resolve HDD failures • Frequently interact with design engineering functions such as Controller Firmware, Test Process Engineering, Servo Firmware, Product teams and product development Core Teams for development work and issue closure • Be expected to have excellent problem-solving skills and work in a team environment spanning multiple countries • Understand and debug all disk drive sub systems, including servo, mechanical, read / write, electronics, controller firmware and factory test process

Your experience includes:
The job requires at least a degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline. 10 or more years' experience in HDD drive test process. You might also have:
