This role provides exposure to data product thinking, collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, and opportunities to contribute to Seagate’s AI transformation journey.

About the role - you will:

  • Support development of agentic AI prototypes for Global Quality, especially around anomaly detection and process-control dashboards.
  • Design interactive visualizations (dashboards, mock-ups, SharePoint UI, or lightweight web apps) to present anomalies, CTQ/KPIV trends, and model insights in an intuitive and storytelling format.
  • Work closely with engineering SMEs to translate statistical/anomaly outputs into human-readable narratives, supporting adoption and decision-making.
  • Explore automation of reporting/visual insights into SharePoint/Power BI or similar platforms for real-time accessibility.

What Will You Learn and Embark on at the Start?

You will begin by familiarizing yourself with Seagate’s quality datasets (ORT/COH) and AI/ML initiatives. Initial tasks include creating visualization prototypes, developing SharePoint dashboards, and supporting agentic workflow experiments.

What You Would Ultimately Be Able to Be Proficient In?

  • Strong communication and storytelling mindset.
  • Collaborative, able to work with cross-functional engineering teams.

Your experience includes:

  • Familiarity with Python or R visualization libraries (matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn, D3.js).
  • Experience with dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, React/Next.js).
  • Exposure to agentic frameworks (LangChain, crewAI, orchestration pipelines) is a plus.
