Product Assurance Group is established to perform independent testing of the Lyve Solution.

It involves doing End-2-End testing which includes all the components of the solution - Lyve

Rack, Lyve Pilot and Lyve Mobile. The group comprises of global, professional, and motivated team

members who are driving the Quality objectives to produce world-class products.

About the role - you will:

As a manager of the Quality Solution Test team reporting to the Sr Engineering Test Manager, you will be responsible leading a team of engineers and design the tests to cover the whole solution. You will also be responsible for writing and executing new tests for an object storage-based eco-system as part of our quality/reliability validation process.

We are part of a fast-paced, global test team working toward more end-to-end solution test coverage and continuous process improvement. You'll have the opportunity to test the Seagate Solutions (Lyve) in order to help ensure quality and identify problems before release and early in the development lifecycle. As a member of the Solutions test team, you will use a variety of skills and will have the opportunity to explore and use new and emerging technologies. We are looking for intelligent, organized, driven, and effective team members

About you:

BS or MS in Computer science or related field

13+ years of relevant experience    

Knowledge of Storage Domain; Cloud Systems

Understanding of RAID based storage system architectures

Familiarity with IO generation tools

Good understanding of manual and automated testing

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of System Engineering, OS Internals

Knowledge of setting up hardware (Storage, Server).

Your experience includes:

Experience and understanding of object storage

Experience with developing and executing software test plans

Leading a team of engineers

Setup and maintain rack-level hardware, including loading and configuring operating systems

Write test standards and procedures

Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging of software

Exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Some knowledge of test automation using Python and Selenium

Knowledge and experience with Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware Cloud services

Networking Basics

Excellent troubleshooting skills.


The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.  Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.  Being a purpose built building, The Shugart has excellent employee recreational facilities.  Take an active break at our badminton courts, table tennis tables, in-house gym and recreation rooms.  Our yoga and zumba classes are very popular.  We also offer classes and interest groups in photography, gardening and foreign languages, and have various on-site celebrations, and community volunteer opportunities.
