About the role - you will:

 

Seagate is seeking a Director of Global Investigations to lead the company's global investigations program. This position is responsible for directing the effective resolution of complex investigations involving employee misconduct, fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, intellectual property theft, asset misappropriation, data misuse, supplier integrity concerns, and insider threats.

 

The Director leads a global team of investigators and partners closely with Human Resources, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Information Security, Internal Audit, and business leaders to ensure investigations are conducted with professionalism, objectivity, and full adherence to applicable laws and company policies. The role sets the global investigative strategy and strengthens governance, case management, reporting, and continuous improvement across Seagate's operations.

 

You will

 

  • Lead Seagate's global investigations program, establish investigative priorities based on organizational risk and business impact, and ensure investigations are timely, thorough, and objective.
  • Manage investigators across multiple regions, including the team responsible for pre-employment background checks, and provide coaching, development, and performance leadership.
  • Conduct and oversee sensitive investigations involving employee misconduct, fraud, ethics violations, corruption, retaliation, workplace threats, conflicts of interest, data loss and misuse, intellectual property theft and protection, asset misappropriation, supplier integrity concerns, and insider threats.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Security, and business leaders throughout investigation lifecycles.
  • Brief executive leadership on high-risk matters and prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, metrics, risk assessments, and fact-based recommendations for resolution.
  • Ensure investigative activities comply with local laws, privacy requirements, company policies, and employee relations standards.
  • Develop and maintain investigation methodologies, quality standards, and investigative documentation practices.
  • Manage external investigative resources, forensic providers, and specialized consultants as needed.
  • Analyze case trends and develop proactive strategies to reduce organizational risk.
  • Support crisis response activities involving workplace violence, executive threats, insider risk, and other significant security incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement of case management systems, investigative tools, analytics capabilities, and reporting processes.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions due diligence, supplier integrity reviews, and other special projects as assigned.

This role regularly engages with senior leaders and key stakeholders across:

  • Human Resources leadership
  • Legal and Ethics & Compliance teams
  • Information Security, Insider Risk, Internal Audit, and Corporate Security and Investigations leadership
  • Executive leadership teams and manufacturing, engineering, and business unit leaders
  • External counsel, investigative partners, and, when appropriate, law enforcement and government agencies.

 

Success in this role requires building trusted cross-functional partnerships while preserving the independence, objectivity, and confidentiality essential to all investigative activities.

About you:

 

  • Proven experience leading complex corporate investigations in a multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations investigations, fraud investigations, workplace misconduct inquiries, and corporate risk management.
  • Ability to manage global teams and cross-functional programs.
  • Excellent interviewing, evidence analysis, report writing, and executive communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in sensitive, high-risk situations, with strong business judgment and the ability to balance investigative rigor with organizational needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
  • You are innovative and find new ways to improve the investigations teams’ functions.

Your experience includes:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Security Management, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree, such as a JD or MBA, preferred.
  • Professional certification, such as CFE, PCI, CFI, CPP, or an equivalent credential, preferred.
  • At least 10 years of investigations experience, including progressively increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience working in technology, manufacturing, supply chain, or other global corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with digital forensics, insider risk investigations, eDiscovery, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support investigative or related business processes.
