About the role - you will:

We are hiring a Sr. Staff Cloud Architecture Lead to engage with China’s leading cloud service providers and enterprise partners at the system architecture level.

This role focuses on understanding how storage is designed, deployed, and operated in large-scale environments, and using those insights to influence architecture decisions, strengthen customer partnerships, and shape Seagate’s product and business strategy.

The architect lead operates as a trusted technical partner to customer engineering teams, contributing architectural perspective while learning from real-world implementations.

Key Responsibilities
1) Customer Architecture Engagement
•    Build deep relationships with customer R&D and infrastructure teams
•    Engage in system-level architecture discussions, including design choices, trade-offs, and scaling challenges
•    Understand how storage is deployed and used in real customer environments
•    Identify opportunities to improve architecture and influence customer design decisions
•    Drive ongoing, focused engagement with customer engineering teams on key technical topics
2) Translate Insights into Impact
•    Capture learnings from customer environments and turn them into actionable insights
•    Translate these insights into product requirements, roadmap input, and solution strategy
•    Contribute to reference architectures and reusable solution approaches
•    Partner with Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams to align on priorities
•    Support key customer initiatives from early engagement through adoption

About you:

•    Fluent in Mandarin and English
•    Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
•    Willingness to travel within China to support customer engagement 

Your experience includes:

•    10+ years' experience with strong technical background with experience in cloud computing, systems architecture, and data workloads. HDD industry background and experience preferred.   
•    Excellent knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis.  
•    Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and solve unique customer problems.  
•    Passionate about technology and innovation. Ability to influence and inspire others.

Location:

Beijing / Hangzhou / Shenzhen preferred; exceptional candidates in other China locations will also be considered.
