About the role - you will:
As a Principal Product Manager, you will lead end-to-end product strategy and lifecycle management for Seagate’s cloud storage solutions in China. A core responsibility of this role is to translate customer insights and market trends into actionable business planning, ensuring alignment with Seagate’s global objectives and driving revenue growth in the China market. • Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation. Translate these insights into business plans, roadmaps, and feature prioritization that align with Seagate’s strategic goals.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing to refine product requirements and ensure solutions address both current and future customer needs (e.g., AI/ML workloads, hyperscale storage demands).
• Own the product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, including market entry strategies, pricing models, performance monitoring, and end-of-life transitions.
• Leverage data-driven decision-making to optimize product positioning, balancing technical feasibility, customer value, and profitability.
• Act as a trusted advisor to CSPs, OEMs, and enterprise customers, educating them on Seagate’s storage capabilities through whitepapers, use cases, and TCO analyses.
• Represent Seagate at industry events to evangelize solutions and build partnerships that drive adoption.
• Collaborate with global teams to align China-specific market demands with Seagate’s global product roadmap. Ensure seamless execution of launches and updates through clear communication and stakeholder buy-in.
About you:
• Strong grasp of cloud architectures, storage technologies, and China’s CSP/OEM landscape (e.g., Alibaba Cloud, Tencent).
• Fluent in English and Mandarin. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel 30%+ for customer engagements and industry events.
Your experience includes:
• 10+ years in product management, including full lifecycle ownership of cloud/data center products. HDD/storage industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making to translate trends into actionable plans.
