About our group:

 

The Systems Integration Engineering team is responsible for verification and validation of firmware for Enterprise Class Hard Drives.  We have multiple US and global locations; the SIE team simultaneously validates dozens of configurations of firmware across over 3000 individual test systems.  In addition to execution on current products, the team is constantly updating and transforming our operations to meet the ever-changing needs of the storage industry.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Support and maintain physical test systems, including custom peripherals and networking
  • Build, configure, and support new equipment
  • Support engineers with first level failure analysis of drive issues
  • Assist in drive procurement, distribution, preparation, and recovery
  • Populate test systems and initiate testing, as directed by test engineers
  • Develop innovative solutions to lab equipment challenges such as efficient usage of space, cooling, and virtual and physical system accessibility
  • Assist in equipment purchasing and capital equipment forecasting
  • Assist other teams with lab equipment and drive needs            
  • Perform other tasks as required

Your experience includes:

 

  • Experience with computer assembly and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and related applications
  • Experience with Linux installation and usage

 

You might also have:

 

  • Prior experience in the mass storage industry
  • Knowledge of hard drive handling, connectivity, and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft SharePoint administration experience
