About our group:

 

Seagate’s Risk Management (RM) group is seeking an Intern to join our team. The RM group is responsible for managing enterprise risk, business continuity risk, and supply chain risk. We work cross-functionally across Seagate to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact our operations, customers, and supply chain. By building strong risk management strategies, we help Seagate remain resilient and prepared for potential disruptions. 

About the role - you will:

 

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments related to manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations 

  • Help monitor regulatory changes and industry trends that may impact risk exposure 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for risk analysis 

  • Contribute to the preparation of risk reports and presentations for leadership 

  • Assist in business continuity planning and crisis management exercises 

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain risk visibility and mitigation strategies 

  • Maintain and update program documentation, dashboards, websites, and newsletters on a regular basis 

About you:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools. 

  • Interest in the semiconductor industry and global supply chain dynamics. 

Your experience includes:

 

  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g. ISO, COSO, NIST etc.) 

  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and business continuity planning 

  • Experience with dashboarding tools or data visualization platforms (e.g., Microsoft Smartsheet, Tableau) 

  • Previous internship or project experience related to risk, compliance, or operations 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field and enrolled in Fall 2026 classes.

Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe – it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well. With wide-open spaces, the campus has plenty of space for running, biking, shooting some hoops or playing volleyball over lunch. The estimated base wage range for this position is $20-$26/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company
