Seagate has created multiple growth organizations that will mature Research and Development concepts into revenue growth vehicles.  The Memory Appliance Group services several focused areas from new emerging memories to controller design to software development from within our R&D organization.   

About the role - you will:

 

  • Facilitate board management controller functions, operations, and development
  • Understand RUST programing language
  • Work closely with Engineering staff to accomplish key project goals
  • Complete project delivery:
    • Develop POCs of FW/Software ported to Rust for comparison against the existing C versions

About you:

 

  • Strong statistical and analytic skills
  • Actively pursuing Bachelors in a related Engineering or Computer Science
  • Understanding of RUST framework and its operations
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment and learn new technology
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Your experience includes:

 

  • Working knowledge of C/C++, Python; RUST Experience is a Plus
  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s in computer science or related field; must be enrolled in Fall 2025 classes.
    • Candidate is ideally in their final year of study
