Within the Products and Markets team, HDD Product Management works across multiple Seagate teams to define, develop, launch, and support our HDD product portfolio. Product life cycle management and execution of product delivery are key areas of responsibility for the Product Management team. 

About the role - you will:

 

 

 

  • Be an advocate for your product: From pitching product requirements, to supporting launch, and managing material through end-of-life, you will advocate for your product portfolio across the company. 

  • Turn data into insights: Learn how to listen for the signals that require decision and recommend outcomes such as portfolio profitability, supply and demand alignment, and end-of-life timing. Turn those insights into action by driving the team to implement your solutions. 

  • Empower teams to promote your product: Develop communications and training material for customer-facing teams, leveraging Seagate's branding and business strategies. 

  • Bring clear, creative solutions to complex business challenges: demonstrate process understanding and highlight opportunities for improvement. Drive change with your clear, consistent communication. 

  • Learn from others: Work closely with different departments worldwide, gaining valuable insights and skills from marketing, sales, R&D, and more. 

  • Grow with the business: Gain the opportunity for expanded scope and responsibilities over time with demonstrated success.   

 

 

About you:

  • Technical Acumen: Learn new concepts quickly; developing understanding of hard drive technology and storage systems and how those relates to our markets, customers, and products. 

  • Analytic Skills: Explore your love of data to analyze market data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to summarize to provide actionable insights. Your creativity and fresh perspective will be the catalyst for optimizing workflows and shaping the future of our product offerings. 

  • Project Management: Demonstrate your leadership through proficiency in managing project schedules, resources, and deliverables. 

  • Communication: Influence stakeholders through strong oral and written communication skills. Collaborate and build relationships with global cross-functional teams and present product updates. Develop relationship networks across the company. 

  • Mission-focused: Be a change agent, demonstrating passion for achieving positive results for Seagate and our customers.   

  • Adaptability: Let your love of learning take you through new experiences. Your eagerness to learn, grow, and adapt quickly will help you thrive in our dynamic environment.  

 

Your experience includes:

​​​​​​​

  • Learning new tools and putting them quickly to productive use.  Expect to get familiar quickly with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.  

  • Communications with broad audiences, internal and external -- in-person and online, oral and written.   

  • Strong project management skills, handling multiple projects concurrently.   

  • Recent graduate: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or MBA with some technology industry experience.

Our Shakopee campus is located 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis in a setting with a rural vibe – it overlooks a horse racing track and stables, yet it has great entertainment venues close by as well.
