About our group:

Seagate’s Go-To-Market Finance team is seeking a strategic, analytical, and business-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support our Edge Datacenter and IoT businesses. This role is a key business partner, responsible for driving financial insights, investment planning, and performance optimization across a rapidly evolving portfolio. You will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, enabling growth, and ensuring sound decision-making by partnering cross-functionally with product, sales, engineering, and executive teams.

About the role - you will:

Business Finance Partnership and Strategic Influence

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders including business segment executives, product managers, technical leaders, sales, and operations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and challenge assumptions to ensure alignment of investments with long-term business goals.
  • Lead cost-focused initiatives by analyzing key cost drivers, identifying efficiency opportunities, and guiding prioritization of operational and capital investments.
  • Build and maintain financial models (NPV, IRR, DCF, ROI) to support investment decisions and business case development.
  • Conduct ad hoc and scenario-based analyses to assess risk, opportunity, and the financial impact of business initiatives.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and financial tools to support data-driven decision-making.

 

Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Support quarterly close activities, financial forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Own and develop segment-level P&Ls; analyze performance trends, variances, and opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Develop and track KPIs that connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and deliver compelling financial storytelling to influence stakeholders and drive action.
  • Promote a performance-based culture by ensuring financial transparency and clear reporting across business units.

 

Project Management and Finance Process Improvement

  • Represent GTM Finance in identifying, defining, and implementing initiatives aligned with systems requirements and capabilities.
  • Build implementation roadmaps, track deliverables, and report progress regularly to finance leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvements in finance processes and systems to support scalable, agile decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and systems teams to enhance reporting capabilities, data integrity, and automation.

About you:

Your experience includes:

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally supporting product, strategy, or technology-driven teams.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques (NPV, IRR, DCF).
  • Demonstrated success in business partnership roles with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP BPC, AFO, and BI tools such as Tableau or equivalents.
  • Industry experience in cloud, storage, enterprise technology, or hardware sectors is a plus.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data and present findings to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $126,048.00 - $183,703.52. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
