Seagate’s Global Marketing Organization is responsible for defining the brand positioning for Seagate’s corporate and portfolio of products, promoting the brand for greater awareness and interest, and contributing to more revenue. The group includes all marketing functions such as Brand Marketing, Public Relations, Demand Generation, Brand Creative and Total Customer Experience. 

About the role - you will:

 

We are seeking a **Senior Public Relations Program Manager for Americas** to join our dynamic Global Public Relations team. This individual will own earned media strategy and execution as well as play a pivotal role in shaping and communicating our company's narrative to a global audience.

 

What are the daily job duties? What is expected of the employee? 


Lead the development and execution of comprehensive PR strategies for the Americas region (North and South America) aligned with marketing goals.

 

  • Secure positive media coverage through proactive pitching, media inquiries management, and interview coordination.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials that ensure consistent, clear messaging.
  • Build strong relationships with media personnel, influencers, key industry analysts, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor media coverage, identify media engagement opportunities, and address any negative press promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team on thought leadership content creation and to ensure PR efforts align with overall brand messaging and marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate experience measuring PR campaign success using website traffic, media mentions, and brand awareness/preferences metrics.
  • Support the executive and storyteller training on media and the brand messages, thought leadership content
  • Drive the brand reputation management and align the efforts with internal key stakeholders 

About you:

 

  • Excellent understanding of media relations, crisis communications, and public relations techniques.
  • Familiarity with PR measurement and media monitoring tools.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support the development and execution of events and media engagements.

Your experience includes:

  • Deep experience in public relations, preferably within the tech sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing positive media coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages.
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent experience.

The estimated base salary range for this position: $77,800 - $115,500. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
