About our group:

The Facilities Shift Operations team at Seagate International (Johor) Sdn. Bhd. supports the safe, continuous, and reliable operation of site facilities and critical utilities. Working closely with engineering teams, internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and service providers, we help ensure that power, water, HVAC, compressed dry air (CDA), nitrogen, fire life safety, and other infrastructure remain within required operating specifications. Our work minimizes disruption, protects people and assets, and enables production and business continuity.

About the role - you will:

Ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical utility systems, including power, water, HVAC, CDA, nitrogen, fire life safety, and other facility infrastructure. 
Monitor facility systems and operating parameters to maintain performance within required specifications and standards. 
Provide emergency response support for critical facility equipment and fire life safety systems in a 24/7 operations environment. 
Perform first-level troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions for facility and utility system issues. 
Support the rapid recovery of production and non-production disruptions to minimize downtime and operational impact. 
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate engineering teams, vendors, or service providers when necessary. 
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and system checks to support reliability and compliance. 
Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance activities, and operational performance. 
Support environmental, health and safety (EHS), regulatory, and company requirements related to facility operations. 
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure safe and effective facility operations.

About you:

Safety-minded, dependable, and able to perform duties with minimal supervision. 
A hands-on problem solver who can remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies and system failures. 
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and comfortable working in a critical operations environment. 
Able to plan and organize work while balancing routine activities with urgent operational needs. 
An effective communicator who can work with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders at different levels.

Your experience includes:

At least 3-5 years of experience in facilities operations, utilities management, or critical environment operations. 
Hands-on experience operating and maintaining critical utility systems in a manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, or industrial environment. 
Practical experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and building-related issues. 
Experience responding to facility emergencies, equipment failures, and operational disruptions. 
The ability to read and speak English and communicate operational information clearly.
A Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline. 
Chargeman or A0/A1 electrical competency certification. 
Experience operating industrial control or monitoring systems such as SCADA. 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
