Senior Engineer (HDD Substrate Frontend)

About the role - you will:

• Drive process and/or equipment engineering activities within ID/OD, grinding, and/or plating operations to ensure stable and capable manufacturing performance.
• Analyze and resolve process and equipment issues using data-driven methodologies to improve yield, quality, and productivity.
• Support equipment reliability and uptime through optimization of maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and support new product or process introduction.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, inclusion, and integrity while strengthening technical capability within the team.

About you:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Self-driven and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Solid technical foundation in process and/or equipment engineering.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Your experience includes:

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, preferably in precision machining (ID/OD), grinding, plating, or similar processes like HDD substrate manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in process troubleshooting, optimization, or equipment engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement improvements in yield, quality, or efficiency.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver operational results.
