Seagate International (Johor) Sdn. Bhd. is a manufacturing facility of Seagate Technology, a global leader in data storage solutions. Located in Taman Teknologi Johor, Senai, Malaysia, the facility was founded in 2006 and manufactures computer peripheral equipment, including hard disk drives. Plating department as a heart of hard disk drive to keep the data in safe and available. We mainly focus on coating nickel layer onto the aluminum substrate.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues across various machines and mechanical systems

  • Operate with 120/240/380 voltage, handling both single-phase and three-phase wiring

  • Manage service work orders efficiently, ensuring all scheduled tasks are completed on time

  • Oversee maintenance and repair operations for facilities and equipment

  • Contribute to or supervise the preparation of management reports and performance metrics

  • Take ownership of work order tasks, ensuring timely and thorough completion within the specified scope

  • Support safety compliance initiatives to maintain a secure work environment

  • Ensure project execution aligns with defined parameters and objectives

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all tools and equipment

  • Maintain accurate records by updating checklists and other relevant documentation

  • Open to receiving feedback with a positive and constructive mindset

  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team while maintaining independence with minimal supervision

Your experience includes:

 

  • Knowledge of sanitary piping principles, including an understanding of pipe specifications, valve configurations, pump operations, and system setups

  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting with familiarity in machine interlock functionalities

  • Ability to interpret and analyze schematic diagrams related to electrical, mechanical, and machine layouts

  • Hands-on working background in PLC programming is considered a valuable asset

  • Prior role in a manufacturing cleanroom environment (advantageous)

  • Possess a Technical Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an industry-recognized equivalent certification with at least 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience. Fresh Diploma holders in relevant field are welcomed to apply
