Supporting the Collection Team while maintaining excellent relationships with our customers are also some of our primary responsibilities. As a Credit Analyst Intern, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various finance topics while being involved in the overall success of Seagate.  

 

You will get exposure to a dynamic and supportive work environment within our Finance and Credit environment to support various activities and get the opportunity to work on several important Finance and credit projects.  

Alongside your exposure to our working environment, it is a fantastic chance to strengthen your knowledge and build your network outside the company, working closely with our global clients.    

 

We will assign you a mentor for the duration of the internship so you can get up to speed with the company and provide ongoing guidance and support as you work on your dedicated projects.  

 

A few of the things you will learn and be involved with at Seagate: 

 

  • Work on projects that will allow you to assess the risks and financial strength of new and existing clients while continually monitoring industry sector developments.  
  • Engaged in research projects for country risks to examine counterparty credit and market risk exposures to ensure compliance with Seagate risk appetite. 
  • Learn from the Credit Team members to expand the use of credit risk mitigation tools and how to apply these tools for managing the risk profile within acceptable parameters are.  
  • Observe real time market risk whilst gaining a further introduction into the market risk function. 
  • Understand the basis of preparing financial statement analysis.  
  • Learn how to assess credit requests and present findings to peers, leaders, and partners.  
  • Participate and lead in projects to create ad-hoc reports to understand the nature of the business and observe how to benefit from these reports.  
  • Interacts proactively with other team members to learn about the Company culture and office communication styles. 

About you:

 

  • Ability to communicate at all levels and able to build and develop relationships with different stakeholders within the business.  
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.  
  • Strong curiosity about data analysis, accounting, and business finance analysis. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office, with specific skills in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, SQL). 
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. 
  • Methodical approach with meticulous attention to detail.  
  • Sound verbal/written communication abilities in English (Proficiency in Chinese is a plus).  
  • The confidence to fail.  
  • Self-starter with a drive for process improvements and the ability to problem-solve. 
  • Quick and eager learner with a “can-do” attitude  
  • Able to successfully multi-task, prioritize and plan activities so as to use time effectively and be efficient. 
  • Highly detailed oriented, able to take effective notes and possess strong organizational skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and partnering skills.  
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.  
  • Experience with financial accounting analysis through coursework. 
  • SAP Experience is a plus. 
  • Bilingual skills. 
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Early Careers Requirements

  • Fresh graduate from a bachelor's/ master’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program. 
  • Available to start as soon as possible for a 6-month program, 40 hours per week. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel). 
  • Must be authorized to work in the Netherlands for any employer. 
  • You are not looking for a “thesis internship”.
