Accountant II (Fixed Assets)

About our group:

Global Financial Services provides exceptional transaction and decision-support accounting activities, at optimal cost, using relevant resources and processes for Seagate Finance and its business partners. 

About the role - you will:

  • Manage, update receiving transaction and work with capital owner in asset addition and adjustment
  • Assign tag numbers to fixed assets and record asset impairment  
  • Obtain information from internal and external sources to record accounting transactions in the general ledger for all PP&E accounts 
  • Reconcile the PP&E balance in the fixed asset register against General Ledger 
  • Analyze account balances and is responsible for properly supported account reconciliations on monthly analysis reporting  
  • Prepare Fixed A schedules report monthly, quarterly and yearly 
  • Ensure transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls 
  • Be responsible for accuracy and timeliness of transactions in the sub-ledger and general ledger accounts 
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries 
  • Feedback and resolve internal and external customer (local site finance, engineer, other Global Finance Share Service team, etc.) inquiries, including audit inquiries from internal and external auditors

  • Able to work under pressure 
  • Good at interpersonal skills 
  • Be a team player and fast learner 
  • Good command of English 

Your experience includes:

  • Knowledge in accounting functions 
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office 365 
  • SAP
