About our group:

Seagate’s International Trade Administration (ITA) group is responsible for the operational implementation and governance of global trade compliance programs that support the company’s import and export activities worldwide. The ITA team ensures that all international trade activities are conducted in full compliance with global regulations, export control requirements, and local country laws, safeguarding Seagate’s operations across multiple regions.

About the role - you will:

  • Own and drive daily ITA operations related to Customs and BOI activities, ensuring timely execution, data accuracy, and full compliance with regulatory requirements, while monitoring adherence to BOI and Customs regulations, company policies, and audit readiness.
  • Act as a key coordinator and focal point for global and local trade compliance initiatives, collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Logistics, Finance, Manufacturing, Legal, and external partners).
  • Take ownership applicable of Customs and BOI reporting and submissions, including consolidating, validating, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of required reports to authorities.
  • Monitoring and manage ITA systems to ensure system integrity, proper functionality, and performance, while driving issue resolution and continuous improvement. Perform and review trade compliance activities, including:
    • TH, US HTS classification (Harmonize Tariff System)
    • US ECCN classification (Export Control Community Number)
    • Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening
    • Export/import compliance validations
  • Identify learning opportunities and the drive process improvements, including adoption of digital tools (e.g., AI, automation) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of ITA operations.
  • Coordinate with external authorities (BOI, Customs) and support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries in a proactive and solution-oriented manner.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in trade compliance is preferred. Other fields like Customs affairs or international trade affairs etc., are also accepted.
  • Strong communication skills in both THAI and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to foster robust relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties including Government authorities.

Your experience includes:

  • Relevant working experience in TH Preferential program, especially BOI and Customs regulations
  • Special Skills good to have: Familiar with Inbound and Outbound shipments clearance process and BOI, Free Zone regulations and the Customs/BOI systems.
  • Strong computer skills and ERP system (SAP) and MS office are preferred.
  • Proactively explores and applies AI solutions in daily work, creatively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Having knowledge and experience on Improvement project is preferred.
