About our group:

The Component Test Development and Electrical Integration is a part of Characterization and Analytics Group (CAG), Recording Head Technology, that helps provide test solutions and design learnings at the transducer level to the Recording Head Design teams. We work closely with Test Developers and Recording Head designers in Minnesota USA and Springtown UK

About the role - you will:

  • Work in Teparuk factory reporting to Characterization and Analytic Group (CAG) Director in Teparuk
  • Work with DVL Test team member to support Transducer design activities within the Teparuk factory
  • Be responsible to include the requirement from design team into the test setup and plan the experiment,  monitor the result, analyze data, develop the activities to feedback design aspect and manage conflicting deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborate and work for Engineering Integration of new head design research and development including new design analysis and feedback for Product Improvement and Engineering Evaluation before Production Qualification and New Product Launch
  • Manage design experiment requests and provide the first level data analysis (JMP, EXCEL Macro, SQL, Tableau) including leading the activities of electrical and physical failure analysis by working with crossfunctional teams
  • Discuss with the design team in case of further investigation and/or engineering evaluation
  • Be expected to work closely with Electrical/Mechanical Design and Test team for code alignment between electrical and mechanical tests
  • Provide mentorship and arranging for specific training to team members
  • Be responsible for allocating work within the team when assigned as project owner or leader
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and planning to work as the team lead/member, across team working and individual work under pressure and deadlines
  • Positive attitude with exemplary customer service
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic 
    environment

About you:

  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English communication both spoken and written
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

Your experience includes:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in the Engineering discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Computer programming languages, automated data collection and processing, statistical analysis of large datasets. An ability to use Machine Learning, Predictive Model, and Data Visualization would be an advantage
  • Skilled in the use of electronic equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Laser and optical system knowledge are preferable
