About our group:

We are the Supplier Quality team, a key part of Seagate’s Global Quality organization. Our mission is to ensure that components and materials from our worldwide suppliers meet Seagate’s quality standards and support high-performance storage solutions.
We work at the intersection of Supply Chain, Design Center, and Manufacturing to support both new product launches and volume production. Our team plays a critical role in managing supplier performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with global quality and regulatory requirements.
As part of a global network, we collaborate closely with teams across the U.S., Asia and other to deliver consistent, world-class quality.

About the role - you will:

  • Qualify and onboard new suppliers through quality assessments and audits.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance using scorecards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier-related issues.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality from the start.
  • Collaborate with global teams to standardize quality processes and share best practices.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and capability.
  • Ensure compliance to applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Spend most of the time at the Supplier site, work closely with Supplier team to deliver best in class components process and product.

About you:

Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, OSB).
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing quality issues.
  • Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BCMS).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
