About our group:

The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team is a key pillar of Seagate’s global Quality organization. Our mission is to ensure that the quality, reliability, and compliance of components and materials from our global suppliers meet or exceed Seagate’s high standards.
As part of a cross-functional and cross-regional team, we partner closely with CMT/Sourcing, Design Center, Product Engineering, and Operation to support both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Volume production. Our team is responsible for supplier qualification, quality systems development, audit execution, and continuous improvement.

About the role - you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and product segments
  • Build and execute supplier quality strategies aligned with business goals and roadmaps
  • Manage supplier audits, assessments, and qualifications to ensure capability and compliance
  • Resolve complex supplier quality issues, lead escalations, and drive systemic corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure smooth NPI transitions and process readiness at suppliers
  • Lead of continuous improvement and supplier development initiatives to elevate quality maturity
  • Represent Supplier Quality in leadership reviews and cross-functional planning discussions
  • Ensure adherence to global quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations

About you:

Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in supplier qualification, audit management, and quality improvement.
  • Deep knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D, OSB, FMEA).
  • Strong understanding of international quality standards (ISO 9001, BCMS, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead across cultures and geographies; travel as required.

Home to 4,000+ employees, our Teparuk site produces nano-recording heads, a crucial component of the read/write functionality of a hard disk drive. Our Teparuk facility is a fun and active site.
