About our group:

Occupational Health is a program within the Environmental Health and Safety. The Occupational Health team is made up of licensed medical staff who provide services to support the health and well-being of Seagate employees supplemented by contracted services as needed. 

About the role - you will:

1. Ergonomic Risk Factor Assessments: ( If there are potential work related) 
•    Conduct detailed ergonomic assessments of various workstations and tasks.
•    Interview employees to understand their work habits and any discomfort they experience.
•    Identify areas for ergonomic improvements and recommend specific changes (e.g., adjustable chairs, proper desk heights, ergonomic tools).
2. Fit-to-Work Evaluations:
•    Review and enhance existing fit-to-work evaluation protocols.
•    Conduct physical assessments to ensure employees are fit for their specific job roles, especially those involving physical demands.
•    Provide recommendations for accommodations or adjustments based on the assessments.
3. Pre-Employment Health Screenings:
•    Assist in conducting pre-employment health screenings for new candidates.
•    Evaluate candidates' physical capabilities to ensure they can safely perform the job requirements.
•    Provide feedback on potential risks and necessary accommodations for new hires.
4. Mental Well-being Enhancement:
•    Conduct the cases of mental health assessments and surveys to gauge employee well-being. (As initiative project)
•    Organize workshops on stress management, mindfulness, and resilience building.
•    Create a mental health resource center with access to counseling services, self-help materials, and relaxation techniques.
•    Develop peer support programs and implement a confidential helpline for mental health support.
•    Launch awareness campaigns to reduce stigma around mental health issues and promote mental well-being.
5. Medical Emergency Response Flow Enhancement:
•    Review and improve emergency response protocols.
•    Conduct regular training sessions for employees on emergency response procedures.
•    Organize drills to practice and refine emergency response actions.
•    Ensure the clinic is equipped with necessary emergency medical supplies and equipment.
•    Establish effective communication channels for reporting and responding to emergencies.
•    Coordinate with local emergency services to ensure seamless support during crises.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
•    Analyze data from ergonomic assessments, fit-to-work evaluations, pre-employment screenings, mental health assessments, and emergency response drills.
•    Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting findings, trends, and recommendations for improvements.
•    Present findings to the management team and suggest actionable steps.

7.    Medical Surveillance Program 
•    Identifying health hazards, conducting health screenings, monitoring employee health, analyzing data, educating workers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing intervention strategies to prevent occupational diseases and promote a safer work environment.
8. Training and Education:
•    Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on ergonomic best practices and emergency response procedures.
•    Educate employees on the importance of maintaining good posture, using ergonomic tools correctly, and mental well-being practices.
•    Provide ongoing support and resources to help employees implement ergonomic improvements and mental health strategies.

About you:

•    Gain hands-on experience in conducting assessments and evaluations.
•    Develop skills in data analysis, reporting, and presenting findings.
•    Enhance knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, mental health support, and emergency response protocols.
•    Contribute to the overall occupational health, safety, and well-being of the workforce.
•    Strong intra-cultural awareness and organizational sensitivity

Your experience includes:

•    Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in occupational health doctor, with at least 1 year in the industrial.
