About our group:

The Head Analysis Performance Group (HAPG) is part of Seagate’s Failure Analysis Laboratory, specializing in analytical investigation and performance evaluation of head technologies used in Hard Disk Drive (HDD) products. Our group is equipped with a comprehensive range of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and material‑analysis instruments to support failure analysis, monitoring, quality improvement, and yield enhancement activities.

We provide analytical services and technical support to internal manufacturing teams as well as cross‑site engineering customers within Seagate, both domestically and internationally. As a large, globally aligned organization, we operate collaboratively across multiple regions under a unified technical direction. To support our ongoing operational and technological expansion, we are seeking qualified individuals to join our team.

About the role - you will:

• Support laboratory operations involving electrical, electronic, mechanical, and material‑related analytical tasks
• Operate, maintain, and perform preliminary troubleshooting on laboratory equipment and measurement systems related to HDD head technology
• Conduct mechanical and dimensional measurements in accordance with established procedures
• Perform electrical and electronic characterization as assigned by engineering
• Execute basic programming tasks or adjust test scripts under supervision
• Create, revise, or interpret technical drawings using appropriate drafting tools
• Assess material properties and evaluate head performance using designated laboratory methods
• Assist engineers in executing failure analysis, root‑cause investigations, and experimental activities
• Document test conditions, observations, and analytical results with accuracy and clarity
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support monitoring and yield‑improvement initiatives
• Comply with laboratory safety requirements, quality standards, and operational guidelines

• เขียนหรือปรับแก้โปรแกรม/สคริปต์ขั้นพื้นฐานภายใต้คำแนะนำของวิศวกร
• จัดทำหรือปรับปรุงแบบทางเทคนิคด้วยเครื่องมือเขียนแบบที่เหมาะสม
• ตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติวัสดุ และประเมินประสิทธิภาพของหัวอ่านเขียนตามวิธีการที่กำหนด
• สนับสนุนวิศวกรในการทำ Failure Analysis, การหาสาเหตุ และการดำเนินการทดลอง
• บันทึกสภาพการทดสอบ ผลการวิเคราะห์ และข้อสังเกตต่างๆ อย่างถูกต้องและเป็นระบบ
• ประสานงานกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อสนับสนุนกิจกรรมด้านการตรวจติดตามและการปรับปรุง
• ปฏิบัติตามมาตรฐานความปลอดภัย คุณภาพ และระเบียบปฏิบัติของห้องปฏิบัติการอย่างเคร่งครัด

About you:

• Possess foundational knowledge in electrical and electronic principles
• Demonstrate strong computer literacy and basic hardware/software troubleshooting capabilities
• Proficient in commonly used computer software applications
• Able to understand or develop basic programming logic or scripts
• Able to create technical drawings or interpret engineering drawings (preferred)
• Knowledge of HDD read/write head technology is an advantage
• Able to read and write English at a functional communication level
• Able to work cooperatively within a team environment
• Able to work in a rotating shift schedule
• Demonstrate curiosity, willingness to learn, and continuous improvement mindset
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing assignments effectively

Your experience includes:

• Strong understanding of electrical and electronic circuit fundamentals
• Sound understanding of HDD read/write head principles
• Proficiency in the use of computers and common measurement instruments
