About our group:

The Seagate Global OEM Sales Team is searching for a candidate to fill a Global OEM Sales Account Representative II position. The Sales Account Representative works directly with customers to understand their business needs and how Seagate can strategically engage to achieve their business goals.  This position is customer facing and requires superior communication and people skills.  This role is based in Austin, Texas.

About the role - you will:

•    Build strong relationships utilizing value-based selling skills.
•    Provide value-added counsel to customers as a trusted advisor creating awareness and demand for company products.
•    Create and manage weekly demand forecast by SKU and prioritize with customer and internal operations teams.
•    Manage the entire sales process, including qualification of new products and end-of-Life management.
•    Direct engagement with Global ODMs and system integrators. 
•    Achieve or exceed Quarterly sales targets.
•    Increase customer satisfaction and overall profitability through increased sales of strategic products.
•    Negotiate and close all contract opportunities.
•    Develop ongoing relationships with customers at all levels and continually maintain a professional image of the company.
•    Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
•    Collaborate with internal teams on developing sales strategies.
•    Assesses company goals and objectives and pursues self-directed development which will contribute to the achievement of results.

 

About you:

•    Deep experience with large OEM customers selling key technology components such as HDD, SSD, Processors, etc.
•    Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
•    Ability to manage complex negotiations. 
•    Strong analytical, presentation, and relationship building skills.
•    Must have ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and have an ability to lead others without direct authority.
•    Broad understanding of the data storage market and key components including HDD & SSDs. 
•    Exceptional communications skills: written, verbal & formal presentations.
•    Excellent listening skills.
•    Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
•    High level of integrity and work ethic.
•    Ability to travel internationally. 
 

 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Location:

Remote: Austin, TX region 

 

This position requires approximately 15% travel.  The successful candidate will be willing and able to meet travel requirements (Domestic & Internationally). A valid driver’s license and passport is required as well as the ability to qualify for a company-sponsored credit card.
