About our group:

Metrology’s team specializes in the maintenance of HDD slider machines and metrology equipment. Our focus is on measuring critical dimensions of Slider components used in HDDs. We utilize advanced technologies such as Vision inspection systems, Interferometers, XRF, AFM, Optical inspection, and Micro-angle measurement tools to ensure precision and quality. 

About the role - you will:

  • Manage workforce and Supervise shift working Engineering Specialist (ES) and Manufacturing Specialist (MS) in supporting maintenance engineering, process engineering and high precision metrology operation works (AFM) in Slider Metrology to achieve manufacturing build schedule and process development with a workforce standard compliance such as TLS, RBA, EHS and Industry safety standard.  

  • Coordinate machine installation and Maintenance: Coordinate cross function with Engineering, Facility, Manufacturing, ESD/Contamination control, etc. For machine installation, calibration, maintenance, trouble shooting, training, process/equipment monitoring, schedule planning, and repair of HDD slider metrology and optical inspection machines and equipment. 

  • Communicating and reporting the routine update maintain services in technical details, process and equipment performance such as uptime, PM time, yield, defects, MTTR, MTBF to obtain manufacturing overall outcome performed in regular basis.

  • Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Your experience includes:

  • Experience in Hard Disk Drives manufacturing or Slider manufacturing is preferable 

  • Experience in Mechanical / Electrical maintenance, particularly with metrology equipment. 

  • Experience in Process monitoring or Statistical Process Control. 

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, power point) and the ability to learn new job-related software. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
