The Operational Intelligence Group (OIG) transforms data into actionable insights to support factory operations delivering industry-leading hard disk drive solutions. We aim to drive Seagate Factory’s digitalization and intelligence by leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize operations and unlock new business value.

About the role - you will:

•    Lead simultaneous development of multiple AI/ML projects, adjusting to shifting business priorities to deliver solutions that enhance product yield, quality, and costs in factory operations
•    Engage with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to understand business requirements, communicate findings, and influence strategic decisions
•    Responsible for project planning, task coordination, and performance evaluation
•    Provide mentorship and technical leadership to help team members grow and succeed
•    Continuously explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies, including GenAI, tailored to our unique operational challenges to maintain a competitive edge
 

About you:

•    Demonstrates strong leadership in driving initiatives and shaping key outcomes
•    Possesses a problem-solving mindset with organizational and time management skills
•    Passionate about AI/ML technology with a focus on delivering practical business value
 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher degree and/or equivalent experience (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering are preferable)
•    Substantial experience in AI/ML technologies applied to industrial use cases, including projects involving tabular data, time series data, and computer vision, in order of importance
•    Proficient in Python for model development, with hands-on experience in libraries (e.g., Pandas or Polar, Scikit-learn or PyCaret) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow), along with tools like AutoML and hyperparameter tuning techniques (e.g., Optuna, FLAML)
•    Experience in model deployment using microservices (e.g., FastAPI, Docker, and Kubernetes)
•    Proficiency in English for writing, speaking, and presentations
 

Location:

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives. Employees enjoy ample on-site parking, free shuttle vans and buses within the city of Korat, as well as transportation to and from Bangkok and Khon Kaen province on weekends.
