Sr Engineer (Slider Cleaning Process)

About our group:

Our organization is known as Slider Process and is located at Seagate Korat Slider Factory. We are looking for a Senior Engineer who extraordinary ability to take responsibility for cleaning processes. The road map of our team is to support future product requirement and improve cleanliness and product quality.

About the role - you will:

  • Understand and monitor all KPIVs/KPOVs cleaning processes for both current and new products to meet cleanliness CTQ requirements and product quality.
  • Plan and execute evaluations and trials for unit process development in alignment with project targets, such as quality, cost, and process improvement and production stability and provide technical advice to the team.
  • Investigate and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve cleanliness CTQ performance, achieve cleanliness targets, and defect quality. Ensure all findings and improvement actions are documented in the MPI document for future reference.
  • Contribute to innovation by generating new ideas within your field of expertise.
  • Coordinate with all relevant departments and customers for problem-solving and technical information sharing.
  • Oversee the transfer of new technology projects from the development team

About you:

  • Strong technical expertise in chemical/material engineering, with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Capable of effective communication in complex situations with cross-functional support teams.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, perform under pressure, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, control, and take responsibility for timelines and status updates.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in data analysis (JAMP, Python) is an advantage

Your experience includes:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Material Engineering.
  • Strong technical background with an understanding of engineering and chemistry for chemicals (e.g., flammable, surfactant, and corrosive chemicals).
  • Familiarity with surface chemistry lab analysis metrology equipment is an advantage.
  • Understanding of HDD manufacturing or slider fabrication/cleaning processes is an advantage.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English communication

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees.
