Sr Engineer (HDD Mechanical Failure Analysis)

About our group:

Korat ASE provides the service support of HDD (Hard Disk Drive) failure analysis on both internal testbed (ODT, Reliability) and customer returns. 
 

About the role - you will:

•    Provide Mechanical analysis on the HDD failures from both internal testbed and customer returns
•    Provide HDD attributes analysis
•    Provide and/or drive for the failure’s root cause 
•    Work with the related areas (Design Center, Factory and Supplier) for the action’s recommendation
•    Develop the automated failure analysis system/tools and utilization
 

About you:

•    Self-motivated and independent learner
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
•    Team player with stakeholder management skills
•    Able to prioritize the multi-tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environment
•    Fluent communication in English
 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Mechanical Engineering is preferable)
•    Experience in HDD manufacturing or HDD failure analysis 
•    Working proficiency with Microsoft Office
•    Good knowledge of data analysis and working proficiency with analytic tools (such as JMP)
•    Computer programming skills in Python (or C++, Java)

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees.
