The EDE is a fully integrated equipment development team; we design and develop precision and fully automated assembly equipment and vision inspection machines. The team is made up of a strongly cohesive, high-performing team of design talents with a diversity of talents specialized in mechanical, embedded systems, electrical, software, and vision disciplines.

About the role - you will:

•    Manage the complete lifecycle of data science solutions, including problem framing, model development, validation, and deployment to production environments
•    Design and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses.
•    Apply image and video analytics to monitor equipment performance, detect anomalies, and enhance quality assurance
•    Implement image processing techniques for defect detection, object tracking, and visual inspection
•    Perform fine-tuning and optimization for performance scalability and reliability
•    Develop C# applications or modules to interface with factory equipment, sensors, and vision systems
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process, Maintenance, Equipment Design, IT, etc.) to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and control systems
•    Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports.
•    Contribute to team knowledge-sharing
•    Ensure data quality, governance, and ethical use of AI/ML models

About you:

•    Strong communication skills to work across engineering, IT, and operations teams
•    Self-motivated, team player with strong analytical skills and eager to learn more
•    A positive mindset with a can-do attitude to challenge the impossible
•    A good team player with the ability to work independently.
•    A collaborative attitude and a global mindset with an ability to work well with native and non-native English speakers
•    Good command of English

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field, or relevant experience
•    Hands-on experience with image/video analytics and deep learning frameworks
•    Experience deploying AI models to edge devices or centralized systems
•    Expertise in data wrangling, statistical modeling, and real-time analytics
•    Knowledge in Python, Pytorch, and/or other machine learning frameworks
•    Familiarity with MLOps practices
•    Strong proficiency in Python and C#, with experience developing and deploying software solutions for factory automation and industrial environments
•    Experience with vision systems and tools such as Cognex VisionPro, Halcon, OpenCV, and Emgu CV, along with a solid understanding of vision hardware design, is highly desirable

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
