We are a team of IT and Data professionals at Seagate, responsible for creating and implementing data-driven solutions to support business decisions and operations. Leveraging AI and ML, we enable real-time data analysis, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and process optimization. We collaborate with business and machine development teams to harness the full potential of Industry 4.0—real-time control, IoT, Big Data, Analytics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence—to support the “Smart Factory” initiative and maximize operational excellence.

About the role - you will:

As a Software Developer - Analyst II, you will:

  • Work closely with machine developers and factory teams to acquire and process data from machine sensors and production lines.
  • Develop, implement, and support software solutions for data collection, integration, and analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and early detection of equipment or process issues.
  • Build, tune, and deploy machine learning models for real-time and batch analysis of sensor and production data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement experiments, validate hypotheses, and communicate findings.
  • Support and maintain existing software and analytics solutions, ensuring high quality and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Document technical designs and provide support for development and operations teams. 

About you:

We are looking for candidates who:

  • English proficiency both in writing and speaking
  • Have strong programming skills (Python, C# required; Java or other languages a plus).
  • New graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Are passionate about applying AI/ML to solve real-world manufacturing problems.
  • Demonstrate experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • Are familiar with data acquisition from industrial sensors, IoT devices, or factory automation systems.
  • Have hands-on experience with data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Are comfortable with Unix/Linux environments and version control (Git).
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Are self-motivated, independent, and effective in cross-functional teams.
  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Your experience includes:

  • [Preferred] Experience with anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, or root cause analysis in manufacturing.
  • [Preferred] Experience with big data platforms and real-time data processing.

Location:

Korat, Thailand

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
